Terms of use

The game

Agent Trouble is a free narrative game, playable in the browser, in early access: it changes regularly and may contain errors. Playing it means accepting these terms.

Access

Access is free. To play, you need an account: it keeps your games, and you find them on all your devices. You can also try the game without an account, for one season: nothing is then saved, and the game moves to the account if you create one. The publisher may change, suspend or stop the game at any time, without notice; if accounts were to close, the publisher would notify their holders by email so they can retrieve their games (“Download my data”).

Your saves

Your games are kept in your account, after every move; nothing is kept on your device. “Download my data” (in “Your account”) gives you a copy at any time. Online saving is a free service, with no guarantee of availability or retention. In early access, an update to the game may make old saves unreadable.

The account

To create an account, you must accept these terms and provide a username, a valid email address and a password. The username must not be offensive, impersonate anyone, or use a brand name. Your password is personal: keep it secret, and change it if you think it has been discovered. The publisher may delete an account that breaks these rules or is used to disrupt the service.

An optional box, unticked by default, lets you receive major news about the game by email (its release on another platform, a new version): a few messages a year at most. You can change this choice at any time, in “Your account” or via the link at the bottom of each message.

You can delete your account at any time, from the game (“Your account”): it is erased immediately, along with its games. An account with no login for three years is deleted automatically. How your data is processed is described on the Privacy page.

Content and audience

Agent Trouble is intended for a mature audience. It features alcohol, drugs, doping, corruption, betting and match-fixing, and violence: these themes are shown in a fictional setting, for what they cost, without ever encouraging them. The game is not recommended for under-16s.

A work of fiction

The clubs, players, agents, journalists, media, competitions and trophies are imaginary; any resemblance to existing people or organisations is coincidental.

Intellectual property

The game is made available for personal, non-commercial use. Copying, modifying or redistributing it, or reusing its content, without the publisher's written consent is prohibited (see the legal notice).

Supporting the game

The game is free, and there are no in-game purchases. The “Support the game” link leads to the author's page on a third-party site (ko-fi.com), where anyone can make a donation of any amount. A donation is voluntary and comes with nothing in return: it gives access to nothing more in the game, which remains complete and free for everyone. It is made under the terms of that site, which collects the payment.

Liability

The game is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. The publisher cannot be held liable for a lost save, for the site being unavailable, or for the use made of the game.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law.
